What is your favorite inspirational quote?

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try”
-John F. Kennedy

What are your personal health and fitness goals?

My personal health goals are to prevent any type of disease that may prevent me from living a long, active and healthy life. My fitness goals are to become stronger, leaner, and healthier.

What is ONE thing that keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?

Results!!! The best feeling is when those jeans that once were too tight, are now too loose.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart going on 15 years. We have 3 beautiful children who keep us extremely busy. I work as an RN in an acute psychiatric hospital and my goal is to end the stigma against mental illness. I got started with Body Effect through Salina Marroquin, she always spoke highly about the gym and workouts.

How has BODY effect made a difference in your life?

Body Effect has made a difference in my life by providing me with a place that i can go to, to release stress, become stronger/healthier, and meet new people with similar goals and struggles. I love that the workout routines are constantly changing. Our trainers are awesome and keep us accountable. They truly want to help us achieve our goals.

What is your “word” of the year?!

“Consistency”

What made you decide to want to join BODY effect?

The atmosphere, trainers, session times, and Salina.

What kinds of results have you achieved so far?

I’ve become stronger mentally and physically. Once I got serious about my diet, inches started coming off. Others began seeing a change before I did, which really felt great! I’m down 24 lbs. and 2 pant sizes since I started with Body Effect. I’m on a mission, nothing is going to stop me now, bring it 2017!

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

Change is terrifying at first but when you decide to make a change, you see how rewarding the end results will be. You owe it to yourself to take a chance and work toward achieving your goals.
